Biographie
Kevin Vast is a photographer, videographer and light born in France in 1980. Raised in a creative environment, Kevin developed a passion for photography and visual storytelling at an early age, a passion that would define his multifaceted career.
After earning a degree in Information Technology (IT), Kevin transitioned into photography, where he combined technical precision with artistic vision. His work soon took him around the world, capturing powerful narratives through his lens. Notably, during his travels to Madagascar and Palestine, Kevin created authentic reportages that portrayed the daily lives of people in these conflict-ridden regions.
In 2008, Kevin moved to New York to pursue his dream of capturing the essence of urban life. Drawing from his reportage experience, he focused on the vibrant streets of the city, documenting its diverse inhabitants. From the bustling Manhattan subway to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn, Kevin’s work captures the city’s raw, dynamic energy.
In addition to his photography, Kevin has worked as a videographer, producing compelling visual content across a range of mediums. His keen eye for detail and innovative approach to both stills and video have made him a versatile storyteller in the creative industry.
Over the years, Kevin has collaborated with icons in the world of fashion and photography, including Steven Meisel, Craig McDean, Willy Vanderperre, Mario Sorrenti, and Karl Lagerfeld. These collaborations have shaped his unique style and allowed him to develop a diverse portfolio.
Now based between Paris and New York, Kevin continues to explore the intersections of photography, videography, and light design. His work is known for its authenticity, innovative techniques, and deep connection to the human experience.
